Juneau July 30th 1977 (Saturday) 7:00AM | Distance: 26 miles Start Time: 7:00 AM Guy Thibodeau, the Juneau Douglas High School track coach, won in 2:55:48.8 - but "not without a serious challenge". He had to outrace Steve Davis over the closing mile and finished about a minute clear, Davis crossing at 2:56:05.7. Thirteen started and nine finished. The field was split into three divisions - 19 and under, 20-29, and 30 and over - with medals from Juneau Parks and Recreation to the top three in each. Thibodeau took the 20-29 division as well as the overall title, Davis won 30 and over, and Kevin Johnson won 19 and under in 3:19:17.6.
