| Description | Distance: 3.1 miles, with 2,000 feet of climb Location: the Mount Roberts trail, from the top of 6th Street to the cross at treeline Start Time: 9:00 AM Contact: Foggy Mountain Shop, Emporium Mall, 171 Shattuck Way Registration Fee: none The first Mount Roberts Trail Challenge Run. Through downtown to the trailhead at the top of 6th Street, then up to treeline and the wooden cross, 2,000 feet above the start. Good training, the organisers suggested, for the second leg of the Klondike Relay. Glenn Frick won in 31:07. Nancy Pease was second and the first woman home in 31:35, and Andrew Grossman third in 31:53. 14 ran. |
