| Description | Distance: 10 kilometers and 1 mile Location: Mendenhall Glacier Rick Thibodeau won the 10K in 34:00 from Alan Graves in 35:55 and Steven Schmitz in 36:00. Jerry Boyd won the mile in 5:54, one second ahead of Joe Koch. 54 ran the 10K and 51 the mile. The mile was plainly a family race - the last three finishers took over 25 minutes - and it drew almost as many runners as the 10K. |
